Anatole's blips

By anatolebeams

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow ...

Trouble has been tearing around the garden today. I tried taking pictures of her chasing the little green apples that have fallen early from the appletrees that I was rolling along the lawn. Of course, the adage about working with animals worked it's magic and the best shot was just a picture of her skulking in the grass.

Actually her name is Krafla after an Icelandic volcano (pronounced 'krapla'!!!). Our other cat is called Snaefels, after the Icelandic volcano near Reykjavic (as featured in the Jules Vernes novel, 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth'). I guess our next cat might have to be called Eyjafjall after the one that blew and closed all the airports. The other interesting point is that all these volcanoes are commonly suffixed with 'jökull' as they have glaciers on the top. The Icelandics love?? to confuse everyone with their unpronounceable names and adding the glacier on the top to then name just adds to that.
