A dribbling swan

Jeff has three nights off - Hurrah!!!!
This evening we took a walk down to the old river Irwell.
When the Manchester Ship Canal was built it used the course of the river Irwell for some of the route.
In Irlam there is a short section of the old river that was not incorporated into the canal. It is now a fishing water and we had a good mooch around it.
Lots of water lilies and a pair of swans with SIX cygnets.
We were both tired out when we got back and had a great night's sleep
