Watching like a hawk
Came out the office and there was a man with a hawk. A Harris Hawk from South America. He was keen to talk, the man not the hawk, the hawk was doing a job apparently, scaring pigeons from somewhere. Not sure how that helps, but the man muttered something about people being able to eat their lunch without being hassled by pigeons. Not the greatest photo mainly because I didn’t want to get TOO close.
IN a VFX sign off at 8.30 as JH our second block director is on a new show so didn’t have much time to fit everything in. Then I had a lunch with Lorenzo in Charlotte St Hotel and a good talk about future funding. The industry is struggling at the moment with co production not coming through in the way it used to. Everything is retracting.
Amit came into the office and we worked on The Chemist for the afternoon. All going in the right direction.
Met Rory for dinner in Dishoom. He valiantly got there early and was quite high up in the queue but by the time we left the queue was right down the road. Astonishing how incredibly popular it is. It was a farewell dinner as his visa has come through to go and work in Guadeloupe on Death in Paradise for over three months. Such a relief! Not sure when he’s flying but like all late joining crew he has to bring out kit for others so will be flying with three huge bags.
