It has been a very long - and tiring day in Chester today. A lot of family issues to deal with, but nothing really fully sorted by the time we eventually left. And I’ll leave it to Mrs C (CosyupwithCathy) to blip about the calamity that befell her car whilst we popped into the city to do some shopping.
But we’re safely home now, back in the sanctuary - and sanity! - of the Lake District. So I’ll leave you with a picture I took before the day unravelled. A sculpture of the baby elephant that was presented to the city of Chester by Chester Zoo as a symbol of friendship between the zoo and the city.
The building behind was where I worked for a while, about forty years ago. If you know Chester you’ll know where it is but, even if you don’t, you might be able to work out what type of business was carried out in the building - there are a couple of clues, if you know what you’re looking at…
