Let me take you down.....

I'd say they were ready. Can we risk another night of leaving them unpicked? It's up to Gill, they're her fruits, cosseted in straw and protected by netting. Two have already been pecked by our feathered friends, then there are the four-footed ones and the slimy ones. I know they're out there, just biding their time. We have about enough to fill a dish. Last year, the year before and the year before that, they never made it to the picking stage. This is the only best crop we've ever had. It would be a shame to blow it on the home run but I'm not the farmer, just the blipper. It's all a bit tense, not as tense as the Murray match, but tense in fruit harvesting terms. She's just come home, we've debated the risks and they're getting picked. What a relief, but not as much a relief as seeing Murray through to the semis.

Might as well eat them while he's still there.
Nothing to get hungabout.
Strawberry Fields forever.
