Spring Greens

This morning I sat for a while in the (brief) sunshine in the garden. The air warmed up enough to make it feel quite pleasant for a while. This hedge and tree occupied my attention for much of the time. In them there was a flurry of bird life - blue tits, great tits, sparrows, a robin, a black cap, and others. Some were feeding off insects in the bark, others appeared to be finding insects in the tree’s sticky catkins. Inside the hedge I could hear a nest of chicks calling. The sights and sounds were fascinating and I’d have missed it all if I’d sat inside to drink my tea!

Grateful:
- To Andy for finishing the repairs to my trousers and cooking a curry for dinner.
- To have time to sit outside and appreciate spring.
- To a couple of colleagues who have been particularly helpful this week while I’ve not been at my best.
