Whoa!

A post office run was needed so of course we took advantage to visit the river for ospreys, eagles and cormorants • I backed out of the driveway, headed south up the hill, then slowed way down knowing a huge pothole was ahead, near the stop sign. As I sputtered about the size of it MrsP seemed to get excited about it too, or so I thought • While I stared down in front of the car to avoid it she was gawking at this very large bird flying low down the middle of the road heading towards us! The osprey flew directly past our windshield with a fish dangling from its feet! • Whoa, that was up close and personal!! • On the other hand, Cobbosseecontee Stream was quiet, as was the boat landing, but we hit the jackpot on the other side of the river. We watched numerous juvenile eagles circling overhead, and found another six standing on the opposite shore, along with two mature eagles. One decided to visit with us spending most of the time looking skyward • Peace & Love
