Before the slugs!

It must have been perfect weather for hostas while we were away, because I have never seen them looking so good.
These are actually all in pots, and our grandson has watered them well!
I wonder how long it will be before the slugs and snails start eating their way through them?
I have another one by the gate which is already threadbare!

Managed to get most of the washing done. Now for the ironing!!

Called to see all the family.
It was lovely to see them after being away for nearly four weeks.

A friend called with the painting that I bought just before we went away.
They have a house in France, and are off there at the weekend for 10 weeks.
(Was quite envious!!)

Another friend called round to let us know that their house buyers had pulled out at the last minute. We thought they would have moved while we were away.
Anyhow she didn't seem too upset, and said they would stay put for a few years.

Everything gradually getting back to normal!
