Dumbrock Loch

I have long wanted to visit Dumbrock Loch, or Abies as it’s known locally and today I did. Unintentionally because I made a minor navigation error in a walk which took us along the West Highland Way, Blane Valley railway and Mugdock Country Park. No one realised and we all enjoyed watching the wild swimmers, one of which wearing one those huge dry robes is in the blip.

We couldn’t have had a better day and the 13 mile or so ramble seemed effortless as we stopped often to admire Dumgoyne and Campsies. A very congenial group of folk with great craic.
