No Fun

So yes, we went to Ikea, but we didn't buy much. I persuaded the girls that although the tables and chairs were cheaper there, they were also a bit nasty, and when they saw the option in John Lewis they agreed. All a bit difficult to work out when to order; don't want two sets of tables, chairs and sideboard, but also don't want none. J still not indicated when furniture might be moved makes it a bit of an unknown.

May have to compromise on the living room furniture though, at least in the short run, and I may go for an antique writing desk for the hall. It's nice to be in charge for a change but I do want to involve the girls. It is their house too. Great debate today was on what to call it; their mums has become 'the girls flat' and mine seems to be named for the street.
