Durham Cathedral

An all too brief visit to Durham Cathedral this morning. A beautiful interior with wonderful windows and ceiling. With a climb of more than 300 steps up to the top of the tower there just wasn't time today ..... the view will still be there if I can still climb the steps!

I marvelled at the model of the cathedral built in Lego .... the detail is incredible. In 2013 work was underway make the building more accessible and transform the way the cathedral welcomes visitors. Building Durham Cathedral in Lego as one of the ideas to help raise money for this work.
