The Verona Arena
The Roman Amphitheatre in Verona was quite a sight to behold. It was the main reason why we wanted to visit the city of Verona.
It was built in 30 AD and is still in use and serves as a venue for large-scale opera performances. It is one of the best preserved ancient structures of its kind. In ancient times, the arena's capacity was nearly 30,000 people.
The Extra shows the interior being prepared for performances of the Opera Aida.
