I had to go to town this morning to collect a prescription from Boots. This new sports bar has just opened opposite Boots and the locals are not happy about it. The  present name of the town is authentically derived from the name Bryggen Eynde and is mentioned in a document dated 1447, soon after the first bridge was built.
On my way back to the car, as I was passing Greggs, I had a craving for a sausage, cheese and bean pasty, so of course I went and bought one, and a steak bake for J. Healthy eating, maybe not, but it was so good.
