Moth

According to Google Lens this moth is spodoptera picta, from the lily caterpillar. It's in the Noctuidae family. Check out its feelers, lying down along its sides. 

Its distribution includes India, South East Asia, Japan, Indonesia and western South Pacific to Fiji. No mention of Australia, but here it is, on my shower screen. M put it outside unharmed. Good chap.
