Wimpole Wisteria
This beautiful wisteria climbs a wall far away from visitors to the house. It is at the back of the house where the public rarely go. It looks lovely and smells wonderful.
I spent the day with some delightful visitors in the bedrooms and personal living space of the last owners of the Wimpole Estate. Elsie Bambridge was Rudyard Kipling's daughter. She spent many years restoring the house. Without heirs she negotiated a transfer of the estate to the National Trust.
