What is that buzzing thingy on the grass

It was only after I had taken the photo that I discovered that Cookie was sniffing at a bee. They are in Glasgow Green with the Templeton Factory in the background (all fancy apartments now). It was based on the Doge's Palace in Venice.

This is the best bit of the walk, as there are no cars and no way that the pups can get out of the area. We shifted pretty quickly when I saw them both snapping at the fleeing bees.
