First surgeon

I had a fantastic day in theatre. The doctor I've been shadowing is a great teacher, and best of all he let me perform my first procedure today. It was only something small (draining an abscess) but it was the first time I've ever been down as "First surgeon" in the post op notes, it's definitely a landmark moment for me. Unfortunately I can't put a picture of my handiwork on here, so these sheep will have to do instead- they were tied up opposite the coffee place I stopped at for lunch.
