Goslings

It is gosling season!  All seemed well with this group of Greylag geese in the canal. And further along at the aqueduct there was a duckling, but only the one. 

16yo and I walked out along the river to Dowley Gap and then back through Hirst Wood to Higher Ground café for refreshment. The fine weather had brought plenty of people out, and a few butterflies too, with Small White, Speckled Wood, Small Tortoiseshell and Orange-tip all spotted.
