Port Arthur Tasmania

We spent the afternoon walking and exploring the former penal colony - many of the buildings are in ruins after devastating bush fires. Fortunately, after it had mainly closed down .
I took many photos, but have chosen only one as an extra …as I’m sure you have seen many.

As well as this dark history, the surroundings are beautiful. The main photo is of the stunning coast, and the other extra is of the Remarkable Cave. It is remarkable- if you look at the opening it is a similar shape to Tasmania. The power of the water rushing through and the noise of the back flow were also remarkable!

I hope to catch up with some of your photos, as a lot of airport waiting around today. I couldn’t upload photos last night, so this is a belated Blip.
