Big Port

The first impression of Las Palmas on Gran Canaria was one of size and busy-ness. I wasn’t expecting the port to be so full of so many different ships including naval vessels, ferries, two equally large cruise ships containing about 7500 passengers between them. And these three interesting vessels which were markedly different from any around them. I haven’t been able to find out much about them as yet!

We have met many really interesting people on this trip. We met a man this morning whose wife died not too long ago and who has come on this trip by himself. He met a lady in the buffet on the first day of the cruise and they have fallen head over heels in love, He was so full of joy as he told us this story a week into the relationship..
