Statues in Cardiff Bay
Bit of an early start this morning: 5:30 when Tomos awoke hungry demanding breakfast shortly followed by Dylan. I was expecting this, not bad as they'd slept all night. Took both boys for a walk in Cardiff Bay, a great place to explore. My blips are two of the bronze statues there. The main is "People like us" created by John Church in 1993 to represent the people who worked and lived in Tiger Bay in the days when it was a thriving commercial port, one of the largest in the world. The extra is "Rugby Codebreakers" celebrating local rugby union players who in the amateur days broke to play professional rugby league. The three representatives of many are Billy Boston, Clive Sullivan and Gus Risman.
An exhausting but fun weekend. Now Sal and I are relaxing with the help of a glass or two of wine. Early night I think.
