Today's the day ....................... to eat local

Most of the exciting parts of our meal tonight have come via the Galloway Food Hub.

As they say on their website - they are 'a social enterprise project, created to fulfil a need discovered by the Glenkens Community Action Plan to give better access to local food in our rural communities with a focus on vegetables by creating a hyper-local supply chain. So here we are, based in St. John’s Town of Dalry, where we pack our food orders with the help of many amazing volunteers'.

We collected our first order with them on Friday which was full of exciting, local produce - including this mozarella cheese - which we're having for starters ............
