A Proper Boat Builder

We nipped over to Stromness this morning to buy some more boaty bits and pieces from the Rope Centre. Also called in to see Ian Richardson builder of the most beautiful wooden boats. Unfortunately he wasn't around, but while we were halloo-ing through the sheds, looking for him, we spotted this. I wish blip had a scratch and sniff facility - the air was heavy with the wonderful smell of wood.

Managed to drag Mike away before he worked out how he could justify adding another boat to the fleet . . . !
