Verdun

The centre was within walking distance of the campsite. It was very quiet, and the river level very high. Lots of WW2 reminders here, bullet holes in buildings and pill boxes hidden in the trees. We ate in the campsite restaurant tonight as a change, and this is the first one that's had one!
