Happy birthday Marianna

Marianna's 38th birthday: we all got together at their house for birthday tea. Homemade pizzas, created in a kind of semi-contained chaos by Jack with Frieda, Eben and Luca.  Simone looked in with interest, while soothing her gums with pieces of mushroom and melon. Later there was chocolate cake, with early English strawberries (from East Yorks, a real pleasure to find these in the local wholefood shop).
It was good to catch up together. Josh is finally looking more like his usual self, after his big chest infection. He's still pacing himself though; this is the first time that I've known him have to do this, vis a vis his own health.
Most importantly, Marianna had a good time.
