Arrival !
A trip to London.
Our usual routine. Drive from our village to the Edinburgh ‘park and ride’ for a weeks free parking.
Bus into Edinburgh Waverley station (the first use of my over 60’s bus pass), Train journey to London Kings Cross. Some food and drink before final short leg on train to hotel in Greenwich.
In the evening we had tickets for ABBA Voyage and luckily, from the DLR station next to our hotel it’s a direct trip.
ABBA voyage is a fantastic experience. Who knew watching 3D avatars could be so entertaining? In the purpose built auditorium, lights, projections and lasers appear from everywhere to create truly immersive sound and vision. There are superb live musicians on stage with the ABBA avatars. It all blends together. My mind was blown. It’s all carefully controlled, no photography in the arena, but the cocktail bar was cool.
We had to cancel this trip in February as my wife was in hospital with sepsis, she made a great recovery so this is a special night.
In extras, weird clouds from our hotel window.
