The weather was mean spirited this morning, lowering, disagreeable looking clouds, cold, heavy rain making it rather unpleasant as we walked into town.

By the time we’d had coffee and done a bit of shopping it brightened, unfortunately not for long as it was unpleasant again when I cycled to the doctors and library this afternoon.

It’s far too cold and wet for this time of year. April showers yes, big fluffy cumulus which give a sharp downpour then bright sunshine and blue skies for a while. April showers these were not.

Good news on the probate front. We did the inheritance tax assessment checker on line to find that no tax was due. I confirmed this with a phone cal to HMRC Inheritance Tax helpline. So now “all” we have to do is fill in the Probate form and wait at least 16 weeks for the outcome.
