Isola Madre Palazzo

The Palazzo and garden were our magical treats for today. The garden covers 8 hectares and has an exotic flavour. Complete with golden pheasants (one is in the extras), white and blue peacocks, lizards etc. There were 4 different types of pheasants, some performing mating rituals.

Other extras show the library, its Murano chandelier and a Japanese Maple that impressed us. Another wonderful day on the largest of the 3 Borromean Islands.
