I did a shift working up at the allotment - I did get a half-reasonable pic of a peacock butterfly, but I couldn't resist these newly emerged beech leaves that I passed on my way to the bus stop. So fresh out of the bud that they were still soft and downy. I wanted to kiss them, but didn't.

I don't think the camera has got the colour quite right - they were a more acid green than this.
