Well, it’s better than feeling sorry for myself.

The furniture is lightweight aluminium so I was able to move it and set it out to test my plan.
 
It’s at right angles to the original idea but fits so it is a keeper – now to tidy it up when I feel even better (starting with the dirty outdoor rug).
