Amaryllis

At Christmas time the hotel florist gives us a table centrepiece. This year it was white, sparkly, waxed fruit with silver foliage and wee lights. I was surprised when I noticed one of the ‘fruits’ was sprouting. Turns out it was this plant. It sprouted then died off, then this three-header popped up. There’s another one waiting in the wings to take over from this one. A good gift.
