Day 1 Camino Auberge Orisson (8.1km)

Today was/is our first day on the Camino. We ventured out of St Jean Pied de Port early this morning with the weather misty and wet. By mid morning however, the mist had been burnt through and we enjoyed glorious sunshine. We arrived at our hostel which is perched on a bend in the road overlooking a huge valley and enjoyed our first beer. We are not naive enough to think the Camino will be like this all the time (both in terms of weather and scenery) but we are enjoying it whist we can!
