Country Life

I was on my way home from work tonight and I was given the chance to catch this beautiful moment of a newborn calf and his Mama. He was trying so hard to stand and nurse. I thought at first Mama was in cleaning mode, but after looking at the 50 pictures I took, I realized she was alternating between cleaning him and "steering" him to nurse. This picture is of her steering him to nurse. When she was cleaning him, she was licking him. Baby horses, baby fawns, baby calves...I will never tire of country life. I'm going to call him "Possum" because his tail is looking a little funky.
