David Brown, tractor,

Late this afternoon I left to go down the steps to Southend of Snells Beach. Expecting to find that the tide was already ebbing, I was surprised to find that there was only a narrow bit of sand uncovered. 

The David Brown tractor brought back memories. My father had a Massey-Ferguson tractor when we were on the farm at Waitekauri. It was significantly smaller than the David Browns of neighbours. But it did the job. Just as this ex-farming David Brown now 'does the job' of towing a boat trailer.
