Girl .....
..... and a bubble.
Today I've had one of my days wandering around central London. I started off on Oxford street with a quick stop off in the photographers gallery before heading through Soho where I had an interesting unspoken conversation with a Buddhist ( all nods and smiles ). I had a pub lunch and then continued my wandering.
I spent most of today walking along the Thames. A look around some exhibitions in Somerset House and then over to the south bank where I spent a lot of time chatting to and photographing some of the skateboarders who are currently fighting a planning application that would mean them losing their current spot under the southbank centre ( details here ).
I had a look around the bookstalls under Waterloo bridge where I had a chat with ( and took a portrait of ) writer and presenter, Amy Lamé. The south bank always has a vibrant mix of street performers and buskers including one who was making giant bubbles ( blip ). I carried on the blip walk along the river down past Tower bridge and had a look around the Design Museum before grabbing a bite to eat and heading back to my parent's house.
It's been a wonderful varied and fun day with loads of photo opportunities and interesting people to talk to. I really have been spoilt for choice of blip today and if you'd like to see some of the other shortlisted contenders, I have put them in a set here. but as I had to choose one, today's blip is .....
..... Girl and a bubble.
Post script.
