WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Oh dear…

…we’ve been roped in again!
We just can’t say no ;-D
Audrey in the village has by all accounts written many plays and pantomimes over the years. It all stopped with the Pandemic but now she and Yvonne, another villager have written a spoof on Pride and Prejudice.
Audrey came to see us this afternoon saying ‘You wanted parts in the play didn’t you?’
‘Er…er…’ I stuttered, ‘well yes go on then’. (I didn’t remember committing!)

Rehearsals every Monday evening till Christmas. However she said it won’t be as strict as Pirates of Penzance.

This morning it was nice and sunny if quite cool so I managed to pot on the tomato and pepper seedlings. They are still very small but look healthy enough. Just as I finished the rain came on so I came in and read my book.
Although the heating had been on I was really cold so put my onesie on and had a woolly blanket. It’s like winter again.

We watched Surgeons at the edge of Life again. Both fascinating and upsetting but usually with good outcomes. We are in awe of these professionals and the patients who go through these massive and very intricate operations.

Now we are going to watch Pride and Prejudice - to refresh our memories!

Goodnight :-DX
