Little Grebe with Lunch

After an anxious and disturbed night, we set off for the hospital this morning for the fourth operation in as many weeks, and hopefully the last for a while with a new stent to be fitted for Janet. As we approached the motorway junction the phone rang and they cancelled postponed...

Happily, since we were already en route they agreed to see Janet and re-dress her wound, and also do the bloods scheduled for Friday, so not an entirely wasted journey.

After we got home again and had lunch I set off up to Slimbridge under heavy clouds. As the afternoon went on, though, the Sun came out and I caught this little grebe fishing for its lunch. I think it's my first little grebe. It's certainly the last little grebe for the fish...
