At the bird feeder
Two sparrows, one on each side of the feeder are in conversation.
“I wonder where all this lovely food comes from?”
“It is supplied to us by the spirits of our ancestors.”
“But yesterday I saw a giant wingless creature with grey moss on its face, take the feeding device away.”
“He is merely the servant of the spirits of our ancestors.”
The blue tit on top of the feeder breaks in: “Are you nearly done guys?
I could use a sunflower seed or two."
