How many people does it take to transfer a mobile phone number from one SIM card to another withing the same network?

2? 3? Half a dozen? Over 30!

On 30th May I signed up for a new contract, being assured I could bring my old number to it. Since then the number of emails, chatline help, phone calls and broken promises have been driving me crazy.

Today, at this tranquil place I discovered that my number had finally been transferred. When the phone in my left pocket rings it's my old card. When calls from friends start coming in to the phone in my right pocket it means my number has been moved over. 32 days! About time, too!

Today The Man had a meeting in Appley Bridge so I went down with him and got dropped off for a few hours at this Wildlife Trust Reserve. I couldn't resist looking through the greetings cards in reception and was pleased to see some by blipper, Anne Kingston, who is a keen supporter of Nature Reserves.

I didn't take many bird shots but this sight appealed to me. The farmer may not be amused!
