Busy day today though had a relaxing start at 9.00 this morning. We went to the agia Sophia basilica in Thessaloniki first, extras later! Then off to vergina to the royal tombs, a museum inside a tumulus of vast size! Lots of funerary objects of which the main picture are some! Beautiful swans neck ladle and bowls. Vergina was the first capital city of Macedonia under king Philip who was the father of Alexander the Great!
