The Great Flood of 1936

Normally I frown on a picture of a picture as a blip.  This photo was on the wall of the fish shop in the Center Wheeling Market where we had lunch today.  
     The only part of it above water was the roof and that's a good 25 feet over the seats we sat in today. The market building sits on reasonably high ground more than half a mile from the river.... but that wasn't enough.
