Dawsholm Park

Sunshine at last. I swapped the White Cart Water for the River Kelvin and walked to Garscube via Dawsholm Park and was delighted to see a couple of parqueets. I know they are an invasive species and not universally popular but their bright green feathers makes them look cheery and exotic. I had intended to return along the canal but ran out of steam and bussed it back from Maryhill Road.

By the time I was ready to run with RunTalkRun the foul weather had returned and we started out in freezing rain, gradually improving towards the end.

Ate with son number 1 whose overnighting and we confirmed plans for an October week on Arran en famille. I’m not sure how relaxing it will be with a toddler, a new baby and an idiosyncratic dog in no doubt dire weather.
