Stumpy

Yesterday I discovered Stumpy hides underneath the heated birdbath. I’ve got two of them propped up on blocks for the winter but both overhang by an inch or two; just enough space for chipmunks, and a mouse, to take refuge. Sometimes when I lift one to clean it I’ll find a little brown mouse; I assume it’s the same one and he never scurries away. He actually looks up and waits for me to cover him up again! • Back to Stumpy • While detaching and removing electrical cords I sprinkled a few seeds on the patio hoping he’d come out because I had my camera with me :) • With nectar made yesterday I hung two hummingbird feeders this afternoon • I must be an optimist ;) • May there be peace for all
