Snakes in the garden

These snake head fritillaries live in a small wild area in our garden. Some years ago we planted a dozen bulbs. Since then they have seeded profusely and we now have well over a hundred plants. 
A good start, but we have a long way to go before we can compete with the thousands on the meadow at Magdalen College in Oxford!
