Shadow on Water Weeds….

And the water weeds are no longer in the water. Or rather growing and floating on top of the water. The recent heavy rains washed the weeds from their previous tenacious hold on the water. Workers removed them from the river and left them in large heaps on the river berms. They’ve been there for a couple of days and that has allowed eels to slide through the dumped weeds to return to the river. My shadow is placed on the particularly large pile of weeds.
I am assuming that soon contractors or Council Staff will clear the heaps of dying weeds and truck them up to the Council land-fill. It seems to me there is too much weed to be disposed of in the “Green Waste” depot .
