Rock, lichen, butterfly
I’ve been very envious of blippers finding butterflies out and about in this very strange spring of ours, so I’m thrilled to spot a distant fluttering on yesterday’s short walk, and even more pleased to find it is a peacock - I don’t think I saw a single one last year.
Up in the hills, most of the vegetation consists of last season’s desiccated bracken - but at least there’s warmth on the rocks and weary of her search for nectar, she settles here to rest a while, soaking up the sun. I think I know just how she feels ….
