Tumbling Tom

Today I noticed, that the first tomatoes, called Tumbling Tom, are ripe.
I inherited them from my friend Carmen, who was a tomato specialist. 

She started to grow them in November, after she recovered from a heart attack as a sign of hope. Now they are growing in my window sill.
It is such a lovely memory, but also a bittersweet one...
