Absolute midge hell today working on the slopes on the north side of Loch Arkaig.

It was still, damp, and clammy and we were surrounded in leafy woodland or peat bog. I prepared well for this exercise and it progressed well despite the insect terror.

I had half thought about getting a blip at the Dark Mile, and indeed I stopped and took a couple of shots but the midges aggitate the concentration to the extent that you can't focus -optically or mentally- and I wasn't that happy with the images.
