90 Days
This morning we went for a cycle and played minecraft. After bacon sandwiches for lunch we went into town to go to a show at the Traverse.
"How Scotland saved the 1994 Women’s Rugby World Cup. A true story of how the power of self-belief changed the game of rugby forever.
Set in the 1990s, 90 Days tells the story of how Scotland’s first women’s rugby players galvanised the Scottish rugby community to become the unlikely saviours of the 1994 Women’s Rugby World Cup after its sudden cancellation by the powerful rugby elite.
Thirty years on, the story lifts the lid on the huge challenges the women’s game faced in the early years and celebrates the positive changes in women’s sport over three decades.
Uplifting, musical and moving, 90 Days lifts a glass to friendship, tenacity, empowerment, and love."
This is the first time CyclopsJnr has been to something that wasn't particularly intended to be a kids show, and he loved it.
It was a great complement to watching the Women's Six Nations game yesterday, and in fact many of the squad were there. We ended up sitting next to Helen Nelson, and afterwards she signed our programme and got several of her team-mates to do so as well!
At the end of the play, it turned out the women portrayed in it were all in the audience, and they all came on stage and took a bow with the actors playing them.
Lovely.
Later CyclopsJnr did some digging in the garden and found some "precious" stones...
