Paihia sunrise

The extra for today was taken shortly before the sun became visible above the hills across the estuary. I vacillated between preferring the first shore of Kaipara Harbourextra or the photo which is today's blip; taken after the sun had emerged and was casting a bright light across the water.

After breakfast we left Paihia for Opononi. Opononi is on the shore of the Kaipara Harbour, which is on the western edge of the country. We crossed the Harbour on a vehicular ferry, and had lunch in Rawene, before a leisurely drive to Opononi. The second extra was taken shortly after the sun set behind the hills on the other side of the harbour.
